More About Beth Lowe
Beth Lowe is a native to the area, originally from Cairo, Georgia. She has spent the last 20 years of her life counseling individuals of all ages in the field of nutrition. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree in food and nutrition from Florida State University in 1998. She spent six years in public health with the Georgia Department of Human Resources, where she completed her dietetic internship and became a registered and licensed dietitian in 2001. While in public health, Beth also became a Certified Lactation Counselor and earned the Certificate of Adult Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Beth worked for over eight years with Archbold Medical Center in every aspect of dietetics; including inpatient, cardiopulmonary rehab, oncology, nursing home, dialysis, wound care, bariatric surgery program, and outpatient nutrition therapy. She developed a passion for the treatment and prevention of diabetes, and in 2007, earned the credentials of Certified Diabetes Educator.
Beth decided on a career in dietetics to improve ones’ self-esteem and help enhance one’s overall quality of life. She enjoys exercise, making others laugh, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Beth resides in Thomasville with her husband Mark and their two children.
