More About Martha Hanna
Martha is a certified nurse practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. She then attended Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky, where she earned her Master’s in Nursing as a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Marth is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has extensive experience in adult health, behavioral health, and pediatric care.
Martha is a native of Thomas County and a graduate of Brookwood School. She is married to Michael Hanna, a local physical therapist. They have three children and two grandchildren. Since 2008, Martha and Michael have led numerous medical mission trips to Guatemala, Uganda, and Haiti. She currently provides hands-on support for Clinic Jubilee in Gonaives, Haiti. Martha and her family operate Hands and Hearts for Horses, providing therapeutic riding lessons for riders with special needs and various disabilities. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, kayaking, knitting, and horseback riding.
When asked about her goals, Martha referenced a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson: “To know even one life has breathed easier because you lived; this is to have succeeded.” She works every day to make a difference in someone’s life.
